    Hi,

Beside the Meow Gallery and the FooGallery, what are the gallery plugins that are WP/LR aware ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Of course, the Meow Gallery. Then, the FooGallery also implemented direct support for it.

Justified Image Gallery also supports it but through Real Media Library (which does use also one more plugin between plugin). That route is unfortunately a bit more painful.

    Cheers ??

Thanks for quick answer, Jordy. I’ll have a look to the Justified Image gallery.

Since Google Sites Classic will be closing next year, I’m building a new site for my photo club and we are on a budget. So, I’m trying to do much with little money (hence my other question in the Meow Lightbox section). WP/LR Sync will help a lot and Astra + Elementor will also make the move easier (I’m a former system engineer and developer but I want to build a site that can be maintained by non computer savvy people – and now that I’m retired, I have promised to my wife to never ever write a single line of code :–)) ). And building web sites was not my specialty. I’m more familiar with C, C++, C#, assembly and Pascal than with PHP. I’m just discovering the WP ecosystem. Technically rather easy to understand but the number of available tools, plugins and themes is overwhelming.

    Thanks again.

I have a C/C++/C# background originally, and what I can tell you is this: be prepared, WordPress and its ecosystem are both very cool, but way too much code for what it does, and written by very different types of people! The quality also varies from one plugin to another.

Use absolutely the minimum of plugins you can. And, in fact, don’t hesitate to write a few lines of code (through Code Snippets for example, which is a plugin that allows you to add some) instead of adding a big plugin that will give you headaches later. More importantly, focus and enjoy the process. If you do, that means you understand it prefectly and you’ll love the outcome even more. Enjoy ??
