wp-login.php redirect no longer works

  • What iTSec plugin and WP version are you using?

    If you recently upgraded the iTSec plugin and\or WP it might be that your rewrite rules in .htaccess file are outdated.

    WP 4.1 and Ithemes Security 4.5.8 — but guess what? Your revised URL works. So for some reason iTSec is failing with original URL. Go figure.

    Oh, and it probably did upgrade (iTSec) but shouldn’t it update it’s .htaccess rules automatically?

    Yes, it should … but that doesn’t mean it actually happens …
    Seen others with outdated .htaccess files causing problems …

    You have already confirmed this issue is related to the current .htaccess
    content … so just let the current iTSec plugin version regenerate .htaccess content …
    Compare the 2 .htaccess files afterwards … to identify differences …
