wp-login.php has ceased to exist?

    Worked well for years, now we have this error..

    Hi there team.
    I’m trying to assist a friend with their site but it’s been years since I graduated my Diploma in Business Computing and the only relevant thing I learnt there was HTML haha.

    When a guest attempts to login (top right) it refers to the dreaded 404 page.

    Here’s the link they use:
    https://www.onpointtactical.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.onpointtactical.com%2F

    It appears that the wp-login.php page just doesn’t exist. Right?

    When I open up the ftp there is only one single file there:
    Index of /
    Name Size Date Modified
    .ftpquota 4 B 9/23/15, 12:01:00 PM
    It has a value of “0 0”.
    (Is there another ftp I don’t know about?)

    The register link works fine.

    Can some one please point me anywhere, towards the right direction to get this fixed?

  • Hello,

    This is odd, as files shouldn’t just vanish from your FTP / server.

    I would suggest contacting your host to see if there is anything going on. If there has been some sort of error somewhere server side, they can restore it, as they’ll be doing back ups frequently.
