-I dont know how does the Better WP Security Plugin works, So i dont even know if im using it or not.Home i answered all questions correctly.
Thank You.[No bumping. If it’s that urgent, consider hiring someone.]
Do you forget your login information (username and/or password)? Are you sure you have entered the correct things but still can’t login?
You mentioned the “local one“, do you meant you have 2 sites, one is online and the other is on your local computer? If yes, you have 2 sites, are the both sites can’t be logged in?

It sounds you have cookies issue. Try to login again but using other browsers. Perhaps Firefox or Opera. I don’t use Chrome, not much I can say.
If you still can’t login using other browsers, you may need to contact your webmaster for the help.
Lets say i forgot the credentials and i just cant get them back.
What i am actually trying to say is that, i have uploaded the site that i designed and did everything on my local server “Xampp” and now i want to login to my local server and work on the site…but it cannot let me in…and yes i cannot log into both of them, locally and online..
I have allowed all the Cookies so everything should be just fine.I never tried, but it seems this information may help:

Thanks,
CarolynPlease describe more. What was the error/warning message? What features have you enabled?
Hey Carolyn
Can you please describe more as to what exactly is your problem?
Have you already put your site online? what is the url? and what error are you getting? what did you put as the home url and site url?Hello all, I had the same problem of not being able to find my login page after activating better wp security, and here is how I solved it.
Like Handoko said, I went to my .htaccess file through FTP and downloaded to my local hard drive. Here you must be careful because there are 2 .htaccess files. One is in the main folder and the other one is in the /wordpress folder. You need the one in the /wordpress folder.
After downloading, I used wordpad to open it. I went to the line where it says: (for me, I had to scroll down almost all the way to the end)RewriteRule ^.*$ /wordpress/wp-login.php?secretkey
You must copy EXACTLY, after the $ sign, the whole thing into your web browser. For me it looked like this:
https://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-login.php?secretkey
Notice that the ? (question mark) is included. So you copy paste into your web browser and you′re done. Then the login page will pop up and you can enter your user and password as you normally would.
I hope this helps some people because it helped me.
PS: secretkey= a bunch of random characters. I put secretkey for obvious reasons but you will see a long string of characters instead.
My wp-admin redirects to 404 not found. I cannot remember my secret code, and I can’t find it in the .htaccess file. I made sure I’m looking at the one in the wordpress folder. But the only thing I can find that contains wp-admin is this:
RewriteRule ^wp-admin/includes/ – [F,L]
What am I missing?
@bakerstreet79:
Can you tell me your website domain?yes, it is keithallenauthor.com
Handoko, Have you come up with any ideas I can try? Thank you!
Are you sure your website is using Better WP Security plugin and you have enabled the Hide Backend feature?
Some days ago I have tested to access your login page, it didn’t seem you’re using the Hide Backend feature.
The topic we’re talking here is login issues associated with Better WP Security plugin. If you’re not using this plugin, you’re seeking help on wrong thread.
Can you remember and explain what have you done that cause your login issue? What have you enabled?
You may tried:
– keithallenauthor.com/wp-login.php
– keithallenauthor.com/login
