    Greetings,
I have been using this plugin for a long time but have never had this problem before.

For days, in fact, I realized that it only works with the wp-admin URL.

I use WordPress, Elementro PRO with its 404 redirect.

When I enter the wp-login.php URL, it somehow doesn’t generate a 404 or there is some other problem because the redirect does it using a custom page of the WP Astra theme and not the default Elementor one.

Do you have any idea how to solve the problem?
    Thank you.

    *INTEGRATION*

I tested on another staging site. Even disabling all plugins and changing the theme, the plugin uses the Elementor PRO template only for the wp-admin url.

When I call wp-login or wp-login.php the current theme template is always used.

I have this too. I just don’t know if it has to do with Elementor or the 6.0 update.

I’ve also been using this plugin for a while and it just works on my running site.

Only with a new installation will the plugin stop working. I can no longer log in. Also deactivated all plugins and today with a new installation of digitalocean I installed the plugin first without success.

    Hello,

Thanks for using WPS Hide Login.

The default 404 slug in WPS Hide Login is /404/. Do you elementor pro template uses this slug too ? Then, the fact this template is reached would be logical.

    Hello,
no, the slug of my Elementor template is different, like (in test) myerror, e4 ecc.

Forget my message. I’m going to shame myself in a corner of the room. I looked wrong.

    I tested.

I think there is an option in Elementor Pro to redirect from wp-login.php or login page to 404. You should deactivate it.

    Thread Starter GPWeM

    (@ligend)

In Elementor there is no such thing in the settings.

You can create a custom 404 page and insert the trigger that activates it there, that is: use it for 404 errors.

    Stop.

If I deactivate it, the default 404 template of the active theme is used.

I don’t want this, I want the Elementor custom page to always fire up and override the standard theme page for the wp-login url (which it used to do and not anymore).

So I’m trying to figure out if the problem is related to your plugin or to Elementor itself.

    Ok.

WPS Hide Login doesn’t “choose” the template to show in case of 404. You only set the slug up int the settings.

That’s why I think the issue you encouter is due to your theme or Elementor Pro.

    Thread Starter GPWeM

    (@ligend)

    Ok.

So I think the problem lies with Elementor PRO.
To be safe, I also opened a ticket from them but their assistance is not the best.

I will update the ticket if I find anything.
    Thank you.`

    Hello,
unfortunately as usual, Elementor’s support service is always bad.

    Their response was:
    —–
Unfortunately, as mentioned, this is an issue on the WP Hide Login plugin, also as mentioned we do not provide any assistance for third-party plugins as per our policy, we already checked even more than we are allowed to on our end, I hope for your understanding.

I would suggest checking this with the plugins support team, as the redirect is set by it and not by Elementor itself as Elementor does not have any redirection features, it is just a design tool.

Additionally, you can check with our users on our Facebook Community how did they manage to solve this issue, as this is out of our support scope.
    —-

In the suggested Facebook group, there is only one mention of this problem; one user encountered the same problem as me and other users replied to change plugins.

    —–
I don’t really know what to say or what to think. Plugin or Elementor, there is a problem and nobody seems to want to fix it.

Finally a welcome support from Elementor thanks to Srdjan Marinkovic who, in addition to carrying out tests locally and on my staging site, also recorded two videos that I am attaching to you.

    —-
These, moreover, the words of him:
“However, I would like to get WPS developers’ opinions on this. Feel free to share my videos and replies with them, as they will have to investigate it further.”
    —-

Please test, interface with Elementor, I don’t know more, but fix the problem.

    Thank you.`

    Hello,

Ok, I understand. Can you ask Elementor support wich hook they’re using to redirect to 404 ? We’re going to fix it in the next release.

    (@ligend)

    Hello,
maybe you should interface with their technical support. I would only be an intermediary and would risk compromising the solution of the problem, perhaps passing incorrect information.

Write to their support please, and ask for Srdjan Marinkovic.

    Thank you.
