try a few basic troubleshooting steps:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    – deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try deactivating via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Also remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder. The easiest way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old.
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fourteen Theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue. If you don’t have access to your admin area, you can switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try resetting the plugins foldervia FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems (because the hooks remain unless plugins completely removed or some plugins stick around in cached files. So by renaming the folder, you break them and force them inactive).

have you installed new or updated any plugins recently?
maybe a plugin conflict is interfering with normal operation?
do you recall making any changes to your WP settings recently?

I made no changes and this is the first time I have tried to access the back end in about 2 weeks.

    You don’t need to.

Please re-read my previous reply that contains some basic troubleshooting steps.

well, it turns out that renaming the plugins folder worked. Apparently there is something wrong with a plugin. With the plugin folder renamed, I can’t go in and deactivate any plugins since it recognizes none now. Plus I found no folder called mu-plugin.

That’s fine. It should not be there unless you create it.

I went into each folder in the plugins on my ftp CPanel and changed the name on one of them at a time and never got the admin login page.
I can only get to Admin by renaming the Plugins folder. Am I doing this correctly?

You may consider deleting all the plugins. If that works, then reinstall one plugin and test it. If that plugin works, then install second one and test, and so on…

You also should be able to get there by visiting https://www.californiaenglishschool.com/wp-admin

I deleted off some of the plugins that I had deactivated that I did not need and now I can access the admin login…but only through Mozilla. IE will not show me the login screen???

Thanks everyone for your ideas and such. I finally got the Admin page to come up now in IE, Firefox & Chrome. Thank you all. I am closing this ticket.
