I have logged into my webspace and changed the permissions on the file to 640. It allows me to login to the site but then the permissions change back to 200. This happens continuously. Any help is much appreciated.

    TIA,
    Justin

Side note. I tried renaming the plugins folder so that none would run and that didnt change anything.

    In Slack, Mika said:

200 sounds like a webhost changing your permissions.
A hacker wouldn’t because then you can’t do anything.
That’s what we set things to turn off your site and fix things.

So it sounds like you should ask your host what’s going on with that.

It does sound like something at the server level is changing your file permissions.

You’ll need to check with your hosting provider to see if they know what is doing that.

thanks guys i will do that. I have about 15 pages that are hosted through that same server and it is the only one that it is happening on.
