WP-Linkedin and responsive wp theme

I can make some kind of automatic width detection system but it won’t be able to work in any circumstances. May be enough for you tho. Watch out for version 1.3.4

that would be of great help. Even if you could set width for it twice once for desktop and once for max-width: 650px that would be great.

Any clue on how to do that?

Thanks man. I installed it already and set width for auto. This is what I get – https://zelmandesign.com/keyslawoffice/ – have a look in left bottom corner. Is there anyway to fix it? Recommendations are not affecting responsive theme anymore but they are still standing out from design.

did you modified the template?
there’s an h6 title in the middle of the blockquote (you can add that as the widget title)
in the template try changing the “innerWith()” to “width()”

No I didn’t modified the template. Just add title there so It won’t mess with my css. I’ll try that.

Ok. It worked for desktop version but if you are into for e.g. ipad resolution – widget shows twice – and then if you go into iphone res (width=320) and lower widget is not resizing with div but rather over floating right border.

I just got around all of this by setting widget width to 280px in admin panel and this way design is fine to 320 width on phone. Below 320px widget is standing out a bit… but anyway it would be good to have it all responsive so I could start with widgets width of 460px as it was previously on my website.

Like I said, this solution is not foolproof. If you find something that will work in any circumstances then let me know

Yep that’s right. I don’t know too much about php but it seems like if you set width to “x” it works. You will just need to set different width for lower resolution and it would be fine.

Hi Claude, For some reason, when I activate your LinkedIn plugin, it conflicts with my responsive Corpo theme and causes the front page “slider” not to work i.e. the slides don’t transition, they just stay stuck on the first slide. @kzemiak You should try switching to the twentytwelve theme and deactivating all plugins but wp-linkedin. Normally it should be working like that. Then, switch back to your theme and reactivate all plugins one by one to find what’s in conflict. Once you found out then let me know so I can check on my own install.

@bezeljina Re-reading your posts I though that you might try this: customize the template for the recommendations and remove the javascript that resizes the blockquotes (you can just comment out line 29) then use CSS to set the width according to what you want depending on @media queries
