• Hi, I had this problem on WAMP Windows, and now on a LAMP setup on Linux on my PC. I am currently using Linux. So https://localhost/wp-admin/index.php is URL for Admin page – works OK. The test site itself URL is just: localhost and it’s A-OK too. But let’s say I want to access the WP test site from another device which is also on my local home network, so I go to the ip of the LAMP/WP PC from another local device, so say I put: 192.168.1.114 in another device’s browser address bar and yes I get the default WP site served up OK, no problem. But, just about anything I click does not work. Hope I’m clear, everything works OK from the PC that’s hosting WP with it’s LAMP. But accessing it from another device on the same subnet I do get the WP site page rendered OK but nothing on that page works, for example I click on the Archives link I get a URL: localhost/index.php/2020/05 and it says “Unable to connect”. I hit the back button, I click on Recent Post – the “Hello World ” link which gives the URL on my remote but same subnet PC or Android, localhost/index.php/2020/05/11/hello-world/ and again “unable to connect.

Again, same thing when I tried it on Window s and WAMP. On the WAMP I tried messing with Virtual Hosts which didn’t solve it and I prefer not to for simplicity sake get involve with virtual hosts, just simplest necessary configs. So if you followed me here, how do I solve this? Thanks.

yeah, well if “localhost” is part of the url on the remote PC that’s a problem…

Fixed. Changed Site Address (URL) to https://ip of server pc. Now the other device knows where to “go”. Other questions but this is OK now. Sorry about the learning curve…
