    Hi there,

I recently realised that this plugin interfers with WPML’s feature ‘Connect with translations’ where you have a popup aiming to help you choose another post as a translation of the current one. Do you have any idea why this happens? When disabling your plugin I am able to assign a post, once it is activated, I get an empty and differently styled and positioned box where I cannot choose a translated post.

    Thanks in advance!

I’m going to be looking into how I am enqueueing my stylesheets and js. I have a feeling some are conflicting with other plugins.

That’s great, thank you so much. By the way, one of the first plugins I install on every project, it’s saving me a lot of time.

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I developed it when I started working for a web company and we were doing ton of WordPress sites and it was highly annoying to have to jump back and forth between the Pages index and editing pages.

I’ve heard similar things from others, and obviously I share the same sentiment – I can’t work on WordPress builds without it! Saves tons of time… especially on bigger builds.

It’s been a while since I’ve had time to update / fix bugs… so I’m looking forward to getting back in and updating it.

    Cheers!

I too don’t know how I could live and work without it, especially since I have a lot of parallel jobs and sometimes a speedy workflow just matters a lot. Especially the option to name it as you please is one nifty feature (so people don’t wonder what it is anymore)! Interested in seeing what you will come up with, so keep it up ;).

    Cheers ;).

Yeah, awesome. I definitely want(ed) to create it in such a way that people could customize it and make it their own and brand it. Of course, moving it into the WP admin bar sort of did away with some of those customizations, but at least you can rename it.

Please let me know if you have any ideas / suggestions as you are using it to make it better! Always looking to improve.

Did you have it in another place beforehand? I think it to be a good place since you’re always only a step away from it. Though the bar at times interferes with my layout/positioning on the frontside, so I put it off, but I barely use it there anyway.

Yeah, maybe you could include categories and taxonomies, i.e. make it possible to find and edit them as well? If you keep it as an option (like CPT already) it won’t bother people who don’t need or like it?

Your plugin is neat because it serves a simple, but effective purpose. No overloaded features, no 200 buttons, just your input field, the search results featuring the option to have it show the ID (which saves time too!).

I’ve updated the plugin. Do me a favor and update and let me know if you’re getting the same conflicts.

    BTW, what is WPML?

WPML is a feature-heavy plugin to run a site in multiple languages. It has some bugs at times and interferes with other plugins as well.

Since I don’t find the appropriate option anymore (I think it was in a slight older version of the plugin) I believe it is good now. Connecting posts seem to work fine now. Thanks :).

    Looks like this is resolved.
