Great plugin

Great plugin.
Used it for free first, then with premium settings and global maps plugins, which are great too.
Recently tried also WP Job and Resume manager plugins, but found another solution in the meanwhile. I then was refunded.
Thank you.-

Roman,
First, these reviews are for GEO my WP plugin. It is a completely different plugin than the one you are having issues with.
Now, I have already explained in the support email but I will explain again here.
The issue you are having is unrelated to the extension you purchase from us. Geocoding is failing on your site. And Geocoding is processed via WP Job Manager plugin. Our Geolocation extension has nothing to do with that.
I have to add a plugin to force the geocoding, and I have to do it for every resume and job I register
Yes, this is a solution I recommended to you, and it is working. You can choose to not use it, but then geocoding will not work on your site again.
that I would need to debug it myself and that would require developer skills… So what did I buy the plugin for then ??
Again, the geocoder function is not part of our extension. It is built in WP Job Manager plugin. This is not our responsibility.
Pretty disappointed with the no refund policy which seems unfair since the fact I am using another plugin is because this one didn’t work.
How is it unfair, really. Our extension is working. If there are other issues on your site, it is not our fault. I tried my best helping you by recommending the plugin mentioned above. I developed this plugin, for the sole reason that it solves the issue that you are having. Which is very common. And this plugin is provided to you for free.
I am glad you have found another plugin that works you. And I have no problem providing you with a refund for the purchase, as long as I get paid for the time I provided you with support. I think that’s fair, since you choose not to use our plugin, and not because it is faulty.
What I think unfair is, giving a 1-star review to a completely different plugin.

Your plugin don’t work with WP Job Manager. You say this is WP Job Manager fault, but I’ve tried another plugin which does the exact same thing and this one works fine !
In deed you sent me a plugin to solve the geocoding problem, but it doesn’t solve it all since I still got to manually edit each job or resume submission to make the geocoding work. I shouldn’t have to edit those : it must be automatic while submission (like the other plugin does).
Finally, if you show me the way to your plugin reviews, I’ll be glad to post my complaint there, and give back a five star rating to this plugin, which really helped me on another project (which is why I trusted the addon).
I never said it is WP Job Manager fault.
I said that geocoding fails on your site and it does not generate the location fields that are required so the Geolocation extension will work properly. Why it fails? it could be for various reasons, but the Geolocation extension is not one of them. The geocoding function is built in WP Job Manager plugin.

Which plugin does the same thing as our geolocation extension?
Our geolocation extension provides proximity search queries for your site. You can add radius and units filters to the search form and you can enable address autocomplete on the address field. The plugin searches for jobs and resumes based on address and radius and shows you the results nearby. It also shows the distance to each job/resume, and you can order the results by the distance. In addition, you can show the results on a map.
Please show me that plugin you are referring to, that does the same exact thing and works fine on your site.

The plugin geocodes locations submitted from the front-end automatically. The process you described needs to be done only when submitting/updating jobs/resumes from the back-end.

There isn’t a place to review our premium extensions. Only free plugins can be uploaded to www.remarpro.com.
This is beginning to cost me (and you !) even more than the 60$ I paid.
I don’t want to argue anymore about your plugin since you don’t show any good faith : your plugin doesn’t work, that’s all. And I shouldn’t have to “investigate” with developer skills to know why. Also, for my needs, I found this other plugin “Extended Location” by Astoundify, which worked great at first sight.
Also, a no refund policy is a bad policy. In Europe, it is even mandatory to give a refund within 14 days (even with no reason) : “If you bought a good or a service online or outside of a shop (by telephone, mail order, from a door-to-door salesperson), you also have the right to cancel and return your order within 14 days, for any reason and with no justification.” https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/consumers/shopping/guarantees-returns/index_en.htm
Refund policy differs from place to another and from business to another.
Our refund policy comes to protect the users, but also us, the developers and support people. Out development time and support cost us time and money.
Anyway, you should see a refund sent to your account.
Best regards,
-
