    Hi,

I got these 3 High Alert Warning in Wordfence scan results:

Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-includes/SimplePie/Cache/403e03585e2e1e1ff28da4871867a2db.spc

Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-includes/SimplePie/Cache/adf416701234bb74c7b67e4f1dc6eede.spc

Unknown file in WordPress core: wp-includes/SimplePie/Cache/ce35f0e1d09e3ed451a8b531d0483cc6.spc

Are these real threats or false positive?

    Thanks

Hi @tomessence, thanks for getting in touch!

We had another recent case of these files, where our QA team took a look and determined they were false positives.

To give a little more background they look like the plugin, or another caching plugin present on your site has created these to speed up loading or assist it in some way. You should be able to select “Ignore” for the results in the Wordfence > Scan page.

    Thanks again,

    Peter.
