WP importing help

  • during the import process, wordpress ask to import the attachments.
    i click to import.

    images are importing to content folder, but the images in posts are still linking to old location…

    is it normal, or other process required to replace the links to local path or it will be done by manual editing?

    images in posts as thumnails added via wp gallery is linking to local, and large images are linking from old location…

    i have about 300 post to import, its huge work if it will be done manually. any guide plz

    its about 30 mins, all attachments are imported. but browser is still busy…
    all posts, categories and tags are on new site.

    how much time it will take to complete?

    Dunno about the browser busy for 30 minutes issue (been a long time since I did an import, but it didn’t take that long), but I can recommend the popular Search and Replace plug-in located here:

    to clean up your hard-coded URL links to images.

    should i stop the browser working ? i dont think its doing something behind the scene.

    i will check the plugin and come back here.
