WP import not import site layout

    Not quite sure how to search for or articulate this problem but here goes:

    I transferred my site https://www.songofstorms.org to a new host,I decided to use wordpress importer to generate a backup to the site so that I could restore it once moved. Once in the new host I imported the backup and all my pictures and media transferred fine. However all my pages, menus, and just about everything else are not transferring or displaying. How can I get past this without re-building my site?

    The WP import function only transfers content, not themes and plugins. If you install the theme and all plugins, then import, your site should be very nearly complete.

    Even my pages are missing, the only thing that has transferred is my pictures.

    getting this error now.

    File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.
