WP Import Export Lite – HANGS at import

    Pretty simple.
    Ran an export of about 10,000 categories (cities and states) in a custom taxonomy.
    Export works fine
    the import fails to complete

    9.5MB XML file
    – (I think this is your problem, there should be 10 one MB files here, not one giant 10mb file, I have built my own chunk_csv import scripts and 1MB is whatcha wanna shoot for with a plugin like this)

    This experience makes me not want to buy the codeCrayon version…
    (just sayin)

    Please either fix the issue or adjust the marketing.

    You can recreate this.
    I will be happy to send you my CSV file.
    Its got every CITY and STATE in the USA nested as a custom taxonomy, proper hierarchy too. (bet that might come in handy for ya)

    anyway, nice try!
    Its a good start for a “freemium” model, but, I am disappointed with the free version and wont trust the paid version now. ??

    We’re getting the same hanging at import…same screen, spinning wheels of death. Any ideas how to fix this? Our import is only 2kb, extremely small.

    We’ve tried to import all day.
