    Hey… today I installed W3.

“You can now keep W3 Total Cache up-to-date without having to worry about new features breaking your website. There will be more releases with bug fixes, security fixes and settings updates.

Also, you can now try out our new features as soon as they’re ready. Click Here to enable “edge mode” and unlock pre-release features. “

And then there is a button “Hide this message”. Well, the message is there and won’t go away. In every page of my WP admin area. How can this be fixed?

  • Hi Torgut,

Had the same issue, and the following worked for me:

Logged out, cleared cookies, logged back in to the site, clicked the “Hide this message” and it finally was removed.

I have heard many folks extoll W3’s virtues, but on several client and personal sites, I have tried in the past, I always end up reverting back to WP Super Cache as W3 always ends up acting wonky, even having watched/read multiple tutorials on how to configure the plugin.

So here we go again, keeping my fingers crossed. ??

I also had the same issue. W3 Total Cache top message was not going away from the WordPress admin panel even after clicking on hide this message button.

I had to remove the cookie and had to make sure that wp-content/w3tc-config/ directory has enough permission.

After doing those two I logged out and logged in again and hit the hide this message button.
