WP hangs on .php file upload via Appearance > Editor

    My WordPress instance hangs when I’m trying to save functions.php (or any other .php) file via the embedded WP editor (Appearance > Editor), when WordPress Download Manager is activated.

    The WordPress version is: 4.9.8
    I’ve made a test with: Twenty Seventeen
    WP debug mode: define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);

    What additional examinations should I made, and data could I provide? Is there any stetting about the file type restrictions.

    Please help! I really like the extension and want to use it.

    Hi,

    Thanks for reporting this. We are looking into the issue and will add the necessary fix in the next update. For now, please deactivate Download Manager when using editor or edit file using FTP app.
