I am getting an alert from WordFence regarding a change in file “wp-content/plugins/wp-google-places-review-slider/admin/class-wp-google-reviews-admin.php”. This has not occurred prior to today.

When I click on the link to show the differences, it indicates there are no differences.

  • Is that result still showing in the scans? As the plugin was last updated around the time you got the result it may have just been the timing of the scan and when the plugin got updated. Let me know if the error is no longer showing up.

Every time this plugin comes out, I make some customized changes to some of the PHP and JS files (in order to automate the slider and increase the amount of time the slide is displayed before it moves off). So, several of the files that make up this slider are already on my “ignore” list with respect to WordFence.

However, the file that previously indicated it had been modified (even though it hadn’t) is no longer triggering an alert, so I think you’re good.

Awesome. Thanks for letting me know. ??
