WP Google Maps Plugin: Map is not loading because of Complianz

    Hi there, on my website https://www.theurbankids.com the map from the WPGM Plugin is not loading – especially for devices entering trough google chrome. I had a chat with the plugin support already but they told me the reason the map is not loading is the complainz plugin. Can you please have a look and help me to solve this problem? Thanks, Carina

    Hi @theurbankids,

    The Google Map on your site is blocked before obtaining consent in the Cookie Banner, as per the requirements. As soon as you accept the Cookie Banner, the Google Map is loaded.

    Is this not the desired behavior?

    Hi Jarno,

    best scenario would be if the map is loaded but with a banner to accept cookies first. right now there is only white space and that’s pretty wired for users. Any idea on how to fix this?

    Hi @theurbankids,

    There should indeed be a Google Maps placeholder by default, I’ve just configured the WP Google Maps plugin on a new test environment where this is the case as well. Not sure what the difference is with your set-up yet, but you can manually add a placeholder to the content as well.

    Copying the configuration as shown in this screenshot under Complianz -> Integrations -> Script Center -> Block a script, iframe or plugin should allow you to do that.
