We use WP Fusion to send form entries to our CRM upon form submission. We are testing out CleanTalk because we’ve had some recent issues with Google ReCAPTCHA recently where it was blocking too many real users.

Our form flow is like this:

User submits Elementor form > (a Email record of form is sent for backup and (b Record is sent to CRM

However, in just one day of using CleanTalk we also had multiple form and subscription form entries marked as spam when they weren’t. The problem is that even when I marked the user as not spam, the entry doesn’t get resubmitted. I only get a copy of the email that would have been sent.

The contact record is *NEVER* sent to the CRM if it initially is marked as spam, even if it’s marked as not spam later on. This makes a lot of work for our intake as we have to constantly monitor the CleanTalk log, (which is many hundreds of items per day)

Is there any solution to this or workaround?

    Thanks!

Ok, for posterity, there isn’t currently a way of resuming WP Fusion > CRM workflow if form entry incorrectly identified as spam.

    Hello.
    1. During our investigation we came to conclusion that the anti-spam protection works fine.

    2. We have analyzed your flagged requests and found that they were blocked either due to non-existent email addresses or due to missing some important parameters.

    3. Speaking of the receiving reports about the denied requests from certain countries, please take a look at this guide: https://cleantalk.org/help/event-notifications

    4. We recommend that you set your Cloudflare cache time to less than 24 hours. This will help to avoid caching of visitors’ data in anti-spam checking.

    5. As an additional recommendation, please do the following: WordPress Admin Page —> Settings —> Anti-Spam by CleanTalk —> Advanced settings —> set the option “Set cookies” to “Store data in the website database (alternative mechanism)” —> Save Changes.
