WP Forum. 404 when trying to create new topic.

  • i am not sure when this started happening, but i know four days ago i did post a new topic.

    i have only one idea what it could be. a couple of days ago, i also did update to the latest version of WordPress. maybe, somehow that has changed some of my settings for the forum.

    i am using ForumPress, or also called wp forum server.
    i know that this is a little out dated of a plugin, but it works amazing.

    to trouble shoot this 404 problem i have, i unistalled forum press and installed bbpress, simple:forum and mingle and i still get the same 404 error when trying to post a new topic in the forum.

    any ideas?
    settings my permalinks need to be on?
    any ideas will help.
    i am just lost.
