Regardless of the size of the file, the type of file, Wordfence just blocks all file uploads in WP Forms. I’ve turned on learning mode and ran a bunch through so it’ll recognize that it’s an allowed action, but as soon as it goes back to “enabled” it trows 403 errors for my customers.

How can I specifically allow this action?

    Hi @visualdestini,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

It sounds like Wordfence sees this as a malicious upload and is blocking it. Normally I’d tell you to navigate over to Wordfence > Tools > Live Traffic and find the 403 block related to your upload. Then select “Add Param to Allowlist” but since you’ve already tried Learning Mode, we probably need to do something different.

You’ll need to try turning off the malicious file upload PHP rule. Head to Firewall > All firewall options > Advanced firewall options > Rules > Show all rules > Malicious file upload (PHP). This is the rule you want to disable. You will still be protected by the other two rules, but this particular rule will be turned off in order to allow uploads.

Let me know if this corrects the issue. If it doesn’t, we can take a look at your version of PHP and see if that’s causing the problem.

    Thanks,
    Tiffany

    Hi @wftiffany and @visualdestini,
I had the same problem and I’m glad you asked the question and wftiffany gave this solution because it solved my problem.

I have to say, the form takes few seconds before leaving. It is not “as-soon-as-you-clic-SEND” but it works.
This is an other problem, I understand you wouldn’t answer here.

    Thank youy anyway ??
