I am using WP Forms Lite, I receive and email every morning indicating I have several entries to my contact form. I have tested my form form several different emails and servers and I always receive the email from the form directly in my inbox. Why am I seeing notifications that I have entries I have never seen an email from. Is this a result of the sender not using the recaptha? I do not understand why there are some many entries according to the notification email vs the emails I am receiving. Please explain this to me. I have seen other post referencing the same issue and the issue is not resolved because the reply only states that there is an issue with email being sent from the form. This is not the case. As I stated earlier, I have tested this from several emails from clients and friends. I have also asked my Host provider to test the issue from there end as well. Please tell what is defined as an Entry as it it referenced in the notification email. I will have to discontinue the use of this form if it is failing to deliver messages on a random basis.

For Example, I received notification this morning that I had 29 entries to my contact form. I did not receive a single email from any of these so called entries.

  • Hi @focalpointco,

Sorry to hear about the confusion you are facing here!

In the weekly Email Summaries, where you can see the all-time form submission totals for your site, we’ve mentioned that entries are not stored in Lite. This information is also displayed on the Entries page of the Lite plugin. If you have any suggestions on how we can better clarify this, please let me know and I’ll share those with our team.

To improve email delivery, you can configure a SMTP plugin on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. We have an article with a list of recommended SMTP options and links to their setup tutorials.

Also, this is not related to the reCAPTCHA as the form will not submit without the reCAPTCHA selection in the form. And the 29 entries that you have mentioned are the sum of all the emails that you have tested/ received so far.

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks ??

    Hi @focalpointco,

We haven’t heard back from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
