I’m getting this error. ” Heads up! WPForms has detected an issue with JavaScript on this page. JavaScript is required for this form to work properly, so this form may not work as expected. See the troubleshooting guide to learn more or contact support”
I have noticed that the message disappears when I deactivate the Autoptimize plugin.
Can you help please? How to setup the Autoptimize plugin to get it all work or can you recommend any other free catching plugin which will work with the wpform? Thx

  • Hello @sebewa,

This usually happens when you have the script minification enabled in the Autoptimize plugin which at times, breaks the Javascript codes causing the issue that you’re getting.

If you want to use Autoptimize, please consider the following:

    1. Exclude WPForms’ assets from JS optimization by going to the Exclude scripts from Autoptimize field to add /wp-content/plugins/wpforms/assets/js/wpforms.js

    2. Disable the Optimize JavaScript Code option, save settings, and then clearing the cache (before retesting).

    I hope this helps.

    Hello @sebewa,

My apologies but for the Lite version, please exclude this JS files instead: /wp-content/plugins/wpforms-lite/assets/js/wpforms.js and not /wp-content/plugins/wpforms/assets/js/wpforms.js.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi @sebewa,

We haven’t heard back from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
