    Hi,

In my media library, I added a span in my images captions in order to kern the 1s in dates. For example: <span class=”letter-spacing”>1</span>187. CSS: span.letter-spacing {letter-spacing: -.08rem;}. It works fine in my pages’ text, buy doesn’t in my Featherlight captions. I’ve tried all sorts of selectors, to no avail. How come .featherlight-content .caption doesn’t respond to my span?

    Hey Terbium,

WP Featherlight uses the raw text of your captions rather than HTML for security reasons. We have an open issue to improve this in a secure way at some point, but I don’t have an estimate for when that might happen.

You can style the featherlight captions themselves though. The selector for them is .featherlight .featherlight-content .caption

    Hope that helps!

Many thanks, Robert. Now I know with certainty that there are no hacks to add bold or italics in WP Featherlight captions. Without you, I could have been endlessly looking for a solution…

I really like WP Featherlight’s minimalist design and I hope this plugin will always be updated to follow the evolution of WordPress. Thanks again!
