i recently changed my permalinks and it worked I guess but then I checked my address with the /wp added on and it revealed all the core files in that folder ?? im thinking thats extremely dangerous so how do i make the /wp a 404 error page or at least so no one can access those files.

  • Work with your host disable directory browsing. This isn’t a WordPress issue, it’s a configuration issue with your web server.

As an aside, you might try adding the following to your .htaccess file in the interim:

    Options -Indexes
