WP Edit plugin wont work in wordpress v 4.0.1

Before the WordPress update v 4.0.1 Our WP Edit plugin worked as designed giving us all the controls in our editor to expand the WYSWYG features that come standard in wordpress installs. When we upgraded to the latest wordpress the plugin stopped working completely. Any help is appreciated to resolve. Maybe we need to buy the pro version. We currently have the free version installed.
