    WordPress: 3.4.2
    wp e commerce: 3.8.4
theme: Child theme of Storefront Elegance 3.4.5

For some reason I cannot figure out I am finding it impossible to upgrade the WP e-Commerce plugin to current in any kind of combination with the above.

When I upgrade WordPress to 3.8.1 I am running into this bizzare Thickbox issue where anywhere at all that I click in the WordPress admin including links loads up a thickbox overlay. If I turn off Wp e Commerce it goes away. If I downgrade WordPress back to 3.4.2 It goes away. But if I use wp e Commerce 3.8.4 with WordPress 3.8.1 Thickbox wont go away. I am positive it isn’t a theme issue also, because I’ve tried Twenty Twelve, all of that.

I thought maybe upgrading to the latest Wp e Commerce would fix it. So I have tried a number of times and going to 3.8.13 breaks my site. I can update the plugin fine, but when I activate it i get php errors:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/vhosts/#########/subdomains/test/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-includes/shipping.helper.php on line 510

Fatal error: Call to a member function get_shipping_method() on a non-object in /var/www/vhosts/#########/subdomains/test/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-e-commerce/wpsc-core/wpsc-constants.php on line 278

I have read through all the documentation I can find, even tried doing the update store button thing- but all that does is load categories for hours and hours I cant even tell if it is doing anything. Please, this is turning into a colossal pain everytime I need to upgrade this plugin. Some help from somebody at Visser labs who has an idea what they are doing would be helpful. I’m about this close to never using/never recommending/ discouraging anyone from using this plugin.

I shouldnt have to put up with this much balogna to do automatic updates.
