That should be fine – though we’d recommend upgrading your WP eCommerce as well!

Thanks Justin. I’d like to upgrade my WP-ecommerce and Gold Cart as well but to be blunt the current version doesn’t bring anything new to my shop.

My needs are simple, a mobile friendly and responsive ecommerce platform with connections to PayPal processing and CanadaPost shipping.

From what I have read this is in the roadmap for WP-ecommerce and when the next version does appear with these tools in place I’ll be upgrading, as long as it’s affordable and not replaced by something else while we wait.

    Hi again Justin,

All went well with the upgrade, but our Transactions after the upgrade are not being passed to PayPal, and the Dashboard shows an Incomplete Sale with no Items in the display, but there is a total $ amount shown.

This means that we currently can’t sell anything. I guess the first step is to upgrade WP-e-commerce after all, but can you suggest any reason for this change in the plugin behaviour.

Nothing else has changed other than the WordPress upgrade and theme upgrade. We use TwentyTwenty v2.2

Just updated WP-ecommerce to v 3.12.2 and the Transactions now appear correctly and the sale is passed to Paypal. However the CanadaPost plugin does not seem to return a calculation. Are you aware of any issues with this and the current plugin and WordPress versions?

One more thing, the server is using PHP 5.6.30 – should we update to php7?

I am getting the error message below when I try to upgrade.

An error occurred while updating WP eCommerce: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. wpsc-core/error_log
