Hi there, I migrated a WP E-Commerce site for a client from Blue Host to Crazy Domains.

Previously the category pages showed the products in a grid, then you click on one of the products to see the details.

Something got messed up and right now when you click on a category, all the products show all of their details. Some categories have lots of products so the page becomes very very long!

Anyone have an idea for how to get that grid view style category page back?

Here’s an example of one of the categories:

  • Could be a few things.

If you’re not using a theme that allows grid view but rather gold cart, you may need to activate it for the new domain as your ip address is now different.

In Settings -> Store -> Presentation, make sure Product Display is set to Grid View.

WPEC creates a cookie called wpsc_gc_view_mode, make sure that it still reads as ‘grid’ (dumped 40+ hours into this one once).

    Thanks for the reply Andrew!

It seems that in the settings Catalog View is set to “Default View” and in the select list “List View” and “Grid View” are greyed out.

How would I activate it for the new domain?

As for the themes, I haven’t changed any of that. This is strictly a migration and I haven’t really made any changes.

I don’t seem to see a wpsc_gc_view_mode cookie when checking my cookies through Firefox.

They’re greyed out because gold cart isn’t activated.

I got gold cart installed and the grid view is working fine now.
