WP doesn't recognize logged-in users

  • Hi,

    my wordpress is installed inside a subdirectory. I just changed the options, so that my front page can be accessed from the root directory.

    Everything is working fine, including permalinks and so on. Just one HUGE problem: When I’m logged in, everything is fine in backend but I have no Admin-bar, no edit-links and so on in the frontend.

    Do you have any idea what to do?

  • Try 2 things

    1.Go to the user ( if admin is the main one) at the top you will see a checkbox name toolbar (it is before the username) make sure it is mark v.

    2.If option 1 didn’t help try to add new admin user and login with this user

    Let me know if it works …
    If problems solved, make it as resolved.

    Do you have any caching plugins installed and activated on your WordPress installation?

    even with all plugins deactivated it’s not working.
    Also I have no cache-plugins installed.

    It’s not only a problem of the admin bar or something like that, for I can’t access member-only posts.

    The problem occurs also for other users (non-admin).

    What is your URL and where did you install the WordPress ?

    Hi, fortune solved my problem ??

    I made a mistake in my settings. I had WordPress-URL: https://example.de/wordpress

    and blog-url: https://www.example.de.

    After changing the blog-url to https://example.de (without “www”) and updating permalinks, it worked fine!
