WP does not update / dont even allow updates

    Hi,
    my WordPress is not installing the new Updates- they even dont show up.
    I am still on 6.0.1.

    Also, sometimes I get the message, that the REST API is blocked.
    something like: /wp-json/v2/..

    This all happened to me after I installed the “All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall” Plugin / or other Security Plugins like iThemes+HideMyWPGost.

    Is it possible, that somehow the Update Function of WP is deactivated?

    Hi @furkansenturk

    WordPress to update from 6.0.1 should not be disabled by AIOS.

    Make sure you do not have WP_AUTO_UPDATE_CORE defined false in wp-config.php

    AIOS may change how Rest API works. Please cross check

    WP Security > Miscellaneous > WP REST API tab – Disallow unauthorized REST requests not enabled and it is making issue.

    WP Security > Firewall > 6g Blacklist firewall rules. mostly GET and POST method not blocked but please cross check if any other method being used and hope it is not blocking your REST API.
