    Hi there, do you recommend to disable WP default compression?

    Also, I’ve seen a post not to use Jetpack CDN – do you by any chance have a go/no-go recommendation list? Maybe an optimal image workflow ?? E.g. should you at least resize your 20mb pictures down to 2160px in order not to overload your servers with originals?
    In other words, a tweak-list to implement good practice ??

    Thx.

    Hi Brogaard,

    ShortPixel was designed and built to make your life easier :-). Therefore, we created it to work well with WordPress’ default options. There’s no need to change anything and you don’t need to pre-optimize your pictures before uploading. In fact, doing that could lead to over-compression, which is the only thing you need to worry about: Do not use any other image compression, online (Jetpack for instance) or offline (Photoshop…).

    I hope that helps!

    Thx Gerard for the quick response. That helps, however… as a minimum, in order to save upload time and server space, I’ll resize (without compression):

    * mood pictures to 4800px
    * product images to 2400px
    This includes retina consideration.

    I hope that minimum effort in my life sounds sound ??

    Sounds good, Brogaard, but make sure to do some tests first! ??
