WP-Cumulus (Arabic Tags)

  • Hi,

    Iam using WP-Cumulus for displaying tags.
    These tags are in arabic. The WP-Cumulus Plugin does not display arabic tags. Ex if tag is “XYZ-<<Some Arabic Text>>”. The Plugin only dispays “XYZ-“

    What can be done to display arabic tags also. Any help in the regard would be highly appreciated

  • Future versions will support utf-8. There’s a guide on my blog that explains haow to add your language’s character set to the current version. (https://www.roytanck.com/2008/08/04/how-to-add-more-characters-to-wp-cumulus/)

    Thanks alot Roy,
    I downloaded the Development Version and modified the tagcloud.swf to include arabic. The problem Iam facing are:
    In arabic letters are joined , whereas the letters in tags are not coming joined. Each letter is coming seperate.
    The direction is also incorrect.

    Could you contact me through the contact form on my blog? There are several things I’d like to investigate, because I’m absolutely unfamiliar with arabic text, and I’m working on full unicode support. Thanks.

    Hi Roy,

    I have used your contact form on ur blog. Also I used “Help me test WP-Cumulus unicode support” on your blog and saw arabic there. Does the current version does not support arabic.
