wp-content media URL is a 404 because URL prefix

  • Adding menu items with a few links to PDFs in the WP-Content, ULR saved in appearance is .com/wp-content/uploads/... but the output in the site front end is .com/en/wp-content/uploads/...

    How do I stop the URL prefix from applying to wp-content links?
