• I’m in the process of upgrading to v1.5. I can’t delete the wp-content folder. I searched around here and saw a comment suggesting to go to my file manager for my web host. I did that, but it’s still being stubborn.

Is this a permissions thing that I need to change?

  • check to see if you have any hidden files in the subfolders. if not, then it’s most likely a server side permission thing which you’d need to ask your host about. It coudl also be that you’re logging in as a user with lower permissions?

Thanks lawtai. I’m on live chat with my support rep now, and even he’s having trouble. But as for what I’m logged in as, I’m at admin level, the only user. [UPDATE: he got rid of it!]

I wonder if this has something to do with wp-plugin-mgr.php because even though I deactivated all my plug-ins via the Plugins control panel (I checked and doubled checked that, btw), I seem to recall these were installed using plug-in manager.

When I spoke with my techie he said it had to do with something called recursion, different settings for several files and what not.

Anyway, I’m back to my upgrade. ??

haha well, glad you got it fixed.
