    Hello,

I noticed that the WP Contact Form doesn’t work.

A possible client informed me they contacted me over there, but I did not receive any message.

I then tried it myself and sent a test message and the same happened: no message.

Can you assist and advise please?

I do have the latest upgrade of the plugin.

    Thank you and kind regards,

    Anne-C.

  • Hi @annechristin ,

Are you using any SMTP plugin to send emails from your website?

If so, it could be your SMTP provider that is causing the issue.

If you are not using any SMTP plugin for emails, then it could be your web hosting email server has issues. In this case, you can contact them or use a SMTP plugin.

Just a sidenote: I suggest you can install something like ‘automatic email testing’ plugin to check your email server everyday.

    Hi Raytan,

    Thanks for the reply.

All this terminology is new to me and am not sure if or if not I use SMTP.

Will see if I can possibly get it sorted with the plugin provider.

    Hi @raytan12,

Thanks for collaborating with this topic!

    Hi @annechristin,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with email delivery.

To troubleshoot the issue, you can check that your form notification settings are configured correctly by following our tutorial.

If your notification settings are correct, the issue is likely because the emails sent from WordPress are not authenticated (unlike emails sent directly from dedicated email service providers). As a result, they are likely to be filtered by the receiving mail server.

To resolve email delivery issues like this, you can configure an SMTP plugin on your site so that emails are sent as authenticated. We have an article with a list of?recommended SMTP options?and links to their setup tutorials.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Ralden,

I got in touch with my website host and they helped me to install the SMTP program and update some other things along with it.

Now it seems the document seems to be working.

    Thank you.
