My guess is that the $table_prefix in your wp-config.php file does not match the table prefix in your database.

Load your wp-config file, and look under $table_prexfix

Then login to your host, and load the database using the phpMyAdmin tool.

Open the database, and check to see what your tables are prefixed with. Go back to your config file, and update the $table_prefix to match.

Hello @princessdebby1. Wrong credentials is one of the top reasons for this. If the database name, username, password, or hostname are wrong, the website won’t connect to the database and will return “Error establishing database connection”, like on your website. Kindly ensure the credentials used are the same as the one you set in cpanel, or the hosting dashboard of choice when setting up the database. I hope this helps.
