    Hi!
I have a wp-config.php inside the wp-admin folder. Is that suposed to be so? Because I have another one in the root folder, where the WP is installed.

I need to know if this is a mistake, maybe when I was moving between folders in Filezilla, or not?

  • No need for wp-config.php in wp-admin; you can delete it, as WordPress isn’t reading it. But to be safe, download a copy of it in case you need the database info later.

Thank you, songdogtech! I notice, by the info inside the file, that it’s a wp-config.php from the time my site was in localhost (not online yet). I’m suspecting – since it’s not the first time it happens – that the file was moved while browsing locations in Filezilla.

Any idea how I can safeguard myself from being moving items around just by browsing in Filezilla? I turned off double clicks but find nothing that can stop dragging a file from a folder to the next.

Don’t know about that; just have to be careful ??
