• So if you’ve installed WP on a secondary folder, that means, your index.php should be moved to the root folder of your host. Now the wp-config.php has to be copied, but not moved to the root folder, right? P.S. There’s no .htaccess in the WP installation.

  • wp-config.php should be in the folder where you want WordPress to be installed. So, if you want to install WordPress in /my-site, all WordPress files and folders need to be in that folder.
