WP-CONFIG configured but NO Network Menu?

    Hello,

    I added define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true); to the wp-config file, uploaded and looked under “tools” for the new “network” menu item.

    Its not there? This is the ONLY step i have taken thus far….am i missing something?

  • If you copy/pasted with Windows, it may have smart quotes and is not being read correctly.

    If you put the line out side of the comments that say things like /* stop editing */ then it won’t show either. Stuff it in the middle. ??

    Also! Did you check with your webhost to see if they will support the network?

    Are you saying stick the define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true); inside a comments markup? like this:

    /* define(‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true); */

    ::gulp::

    Ill check the smart quotes and host issues. Lets say the host didnt allow for it, wouldn’t th menu still exist?
