wp-commerce discount code not working

  • I have a cart system on a website – All seems to be working OK but I have this strange hangup.

    I have the upgraded gold cart with wp-commerce plugin.

    In Marketing I added a coupon code. At first glance it appears to work. Very strait forward anyone that has the code gets a $2.00 discount – Here is the catch: When the code is used the amount of the code is added to the tax by wordpress and then subtracted at the end of the order. So the person really did not get a discount…

    Here is a temporary sample discount code 1012 if you want to help me figure this out. You can add an item to the cart. see the tax and total – add the code – and the tax goes up!! All this can be seen before you fill out your billing info etc…

    I have asked there, It is a wordpress site and there is so much trafic and help with coding issues here that I thought I would ask here too.

    So far no input from either place. I had hoped to figure this out and have the website correct by Monday business hrs.
