This is a very useful plugin; thanks for your work on it.

I’d like to suggest a small feature enhancement to make it even more useful: simple enable/disable support via WP-CLI command. This would permit temporary lockout of new user-generated content or E-commerce transactions during cron-driven scripted operations such as backup or content import.

  • Hi there Jerry,

The WP-CLI Project uses Github to manage and track feature requests here: https://github.com/wp-cli/ideas/issues

If you could please create a new issue at that page with your idea including as much detail as possible.

Of course, if you need any help with how to do that successfully just reply to this message! ??

    Cheers!

I’m sorry. I misunderstood the request and now realize it is for the maintenance mode plugin and not WP-CLI itself.

In that case, please do not submit a feature request to the WP-CLI idea repo I provided before.

Of course I realized this as soon as I clicked the submit button and it was too late.

    Take care!

    Hi Jerry,

Thanks for your suggestion, that’s definitely a good idea, I will add this to the list to be implemented. Unfortunately lately I had not much spare time for maintenance mode but I’m hoping to implement this soon.

    Thanks!

For now I’ll close this here, you can re: https://github.com/lukasjuhas/lj-maintenance-mode/issues/38
