    Hi all,

is there anything new on WordFence plugin offering integration with WP CLI tool?

Meaning, that we can automate our work with plugin via WP CLI (doing scans, activating free licenses, etc).

    Kind regards,
    Anze

Hi @jenkoanze, thank-you for your question.

There has been some consideration given to this area in the past for potential development, although no new updates currently.

We’d be very interested to hear some more detail on what use-cases you had in mind, and some specifics around your expectations on what features offered through WP-CLI would allow you to do.

If anybody else reading this would like features available in WP-CLI too, please feel free to comment here with your own use-cases and which elements of Wordfence you think would benefit from being available in that way.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.

We will close this topic now as there have been no further responses, but if you find this as a result of searching the forums about Wordfence’s WP CLI features please detail your use-cases to genbiz @ wordfence . com so we can consider them.

    Thanks!

    Hello @wfpeter,

    sorry for my late reply.

I’m providing some use-cases that I consider would be useful:

    1. Possibility to generate Free licence via CLI command (eg. wp wordfence licence-generate –type=free –[email protected])
That would send email with free licence from Wordfence system to specified email.

    2. Possibility to activate the acquired licence (eg. wp wordfence licence-activate –licence=<licence_value>)

    3. Possibility to update “.htaccess” with Wordfence rules on initial setup (eg. wp wordfence init-setup)

    4. Possibility to run scan for malware “.htaccess” with Wordfence rules on initial setup (eg. wp wordfence scan –type=(standard, high, limited) –send-output=/path/to/file.csv) and write the results in .CSV file.

I believe that there are also other useful use-cases that would ease up our work with Wordfence.

    Kind regards,
    Anze
