I have two client sites running WP Cerber and Oshine WordPress theme. This theme has two critical plugins, Oshine Core and Oshine Modules. Both have been deactivated automatically in the last week, on two client sites. No action on the part of any user. Will WP Cerber do this? It’s true that the code standards for this theme and plugins are not great, but could it be WP Cerber taking action?

No, WP Cerber does not deactivate plugins or themes. If it would do that, it would notify you.

Thanks Gregory. Just trying to work out the mechanism. I guess some plugins will self-deactivate if they trigger a fatal error. But that’s not the case here, since both have now been active for over 4 days with no trouble. Seems random. My best guess is there is an incompatibility with a specific plugin, and unless that code is actively triggered to run, there isn’t an issue. If it does run, the plugins deactivate. Would that make sense? Or maybe WP admin has this feature built in?
