  • To the people tasked with reviewing plugins in the repository,

    I have had the wp-categories-widget installed on a whole bunch of sites for a very long time…

    The plugin authors were very quick to update the plugin when it was discovered it had a vulnerability, as reported by Wordfence… The update has been there in the repository, uploaded and ready, for over two weeks…

    And yet it continues to be “temporarily” closed “pending a full review”… And therefore I am unable to download and update the plugin on all of my sites, and so remove that vulnerability…

    Instead, I must continue to dread being forced by your inattention to tediously replace its functionality on more sites than I even want to think about…

    PLEASE review this plugin, and make its necessary update available to all of us who are using it, as soon as possible, please…

  • Reviewing the updated/fix version takes time, and the plugins team has a significant backlog. Adding to that, WordCamp US took place last week, so it is understandable that this is taking a little bit of time.

    I have brought this to the attention of the plugins team but, for reference, you can reach out to them directly via [email protected]

    @mrfoxtalbot, the system did not notify me of your reply, though the box for that was checked, and so am just seeing… Thank you for your response, and the email address… I will try to nudge them again… ????
