WP Catalogue changing button color

  • Hi,
    I would like to change the background color of the category button in WP Catalogue and have seen an old thread on this.
    Though adding the code
    #wpc-col-1 ul li a:hover, #wpc-col-1 ul li.active-wpc-cat a {background: #0f75bc !important;}
    to the style.css of my theme did not work for me.
    Is any different action required on the actual release?
    Also I have seen the translated files in the directory languages but translation is not showed.
    My theme is Dynamix from themeva.com

    Hi please can you post a link to your site where the catalogue is embedded, tell me the colour you want in the background, and let me know what language your WordPress install is in?
