Thank you for taking a moment to look at this. Please follow my logic to the end. At first glance this will look like a plugin issue but I assure you it’s not. I’m only including the plugin info in the purpose of full disclosure.

I’m having a minor meltdown in my brain so please bare with me. I spent a couple of months customizing wordpress and gallery2 to work together using the wpg2 interface. I recently finished them and they were working exactly as I wanted them to. I populated the gallery2 with images and created a few categoies, empty pages and left an active post in wordpress just to confirm navigation. Everything was working fine. I took a break for about a week.

Last night I decided I’d go back in and make a pass at populating the wordpress but decided against filling it with original material yet. Indtead I opted to attempt an LJ import to fill my journal category with.

I failed in the import. I dropped in an altered livejournal.php, that I found on these forums, into the import folder (after backing up the original). The altered file made the admin page for imports look strange. I immediately removed it and restored the back up. I gave up for the night and didn’t check it again until this morning.

Today when I go the the website (www.grypesagon.com/index.php) the page is totally blank with nothing in the “veiw source”. All the wordpress theme controlled pages are like this. I logged into the admin page and the Pages, Categories and Posts still exist as they did last night. The Themes and Plugins do not. When I go into FTP all the folders and files still exist but wordpress seems to have lost it’s ability to see them. The default, kubrick as well as my custom won’t show in the presentation tab.

Does anyone know what I might have done to cause this? Maybe I accidentally moved a file in FTP or something when I was backing up and moving the import files? Does anyone know what file controls where wordpress looks for the themes and plugins?

Any help would be greatly appretiated. Thanks

I realized last night that the image files I had within the wp-content/themes/custom/image/ folder weren’t appearing or visible. I then realised that if nothing could see the files in there that something was misconfigured with the folder. Long story short I eventually found the the CHMOD permissions for wp-content and it’s sub directories was “0” so no access, not even read, was allowed. I changed them back and now everything seems fine again.
