WP calendar widget to show future events

  • Hi there,

    I want to show posts or event – and set it to be dated for the day of the event, which would be in its own category.

    Then use WordPress’ native calendar display to build a calendar.

    The calendar would have to use a custom query (only posts from the events category, and showing future-dated posts …

    Can the calendar code be done this way? where would i start?

    I am using the 2010 theme.
