wp-cache error..help please!

  • Help! everything was working this morning but now I keep getting this error..

    Warning: fopen(/home/mysite/public_html/wp-content/cache/wp_cache_mutex.lock) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-cache/wp-cache-phase2.php on line 96

    the full story:
    When I looked at my site and tried to log in, that message was there. I couldn’t even log in to my WP to deactivate the plugin. SO I went into my server and renamed the folder. That did it! But now the “plugin updater” does not work and sometimes I see 1 or 2 plugins deactivating on it’s own. O__O”

    Help!!
